Supporting Information - Synthetic Hexaploid Wheat

Back

Crosses were made between emmer wheat and hexaploids including the durum based synthetic (Sokoll), the emmer based synthetic (T. dicoccon P194625/Ae. tauschii372), Indian cultivars (PBW502, PBW550, DBW16, DBW17) and the drought tolerant CIMMYT lines Berkut and Waxwing*2/Kiritati at the Planting Breeding Institute at the University of Sydney. Field trials in Australia and India have indicated a potential yield gain of 20% over the parent under drought conditions.
