The 2nd Conference on Cereal Biotechnology and Breeding (CBB2) will be held at the Danubius Resort in Budapest, Hungary, from the 5th to the 7th of November 2013.
Conference Topics
The conference will consider a variety of key topics, including biotic diseases of conventional- and pseudo-cereals, the effect of abiotic stresses in cereals, the physiology of cereals, cereal quality and its molecular basis, marker-assisted selection in cereals, cereal breeding via traditional and modern methods, and new cereal varieties.
Conference Speakers
A variety of distinguished speakers will make presentations: Hermann Bürstmayr on Improving Fusarium Resistance in Bread- and Durum Wheat; Ákos Mesterházy on Breeding strategies and breeding results against Fusarium head blight in bread wheat; Abraham Blum of Plantsress.com on Gene discovery towards drought resistance - a quest for realism; Gábor V. Horváth, on How model organisms help to improve cereal stress resistance;Jianhua Zhang, on Water stress and its regulation on the grain filling of rice; Imre Vass, on Plant phenotyping as a tool in cereal breeding; Ravindra N.
