2015 Mexican Government Scholarship Programme for International Students

The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Mexico has announced the 2015 Mexican Government Scholarship Programme for International Students. The International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) is registered as a recipient institution for postgraduate students to perform research on: 

• seed improvement,
• phytopathology,
• biostatistics,
• genetic resources,
• industrial and nutritional quality of maize and wheat,
• agricultural economics,
• impact assessment,
• conservation agriculture,
• geographic information systems,
• maize and wheat biotechnology.

The call is open from May 9 to July 31, 2014 and results will be published on November 2014. Applications have to be made through the Mexican Embassy in the student’s country of origin.

The scholarship will be valid as of January 2015, with financial support for a 1 month to 1 year stay in Mexico for postgraduate research studies.
