Women's Young Investigator Travel Awards for Plant Biology 2016

ASPB is offering seven $1,000 Women's Young Investigator Travel Awards for Plant Biology 2016 in Austin, Texas. 

The goal of the program is to increase attendance of young female investigators at the annual meeting, and women plant scientists who are in their first five years of their appointment in academic faculty-level positions, government research positions, or industry research scientist positions, as well as experienced postdocs. 

Applications, which are due December 22, 2015, should include a research abstract, a two-page biosketch (NSF format), and a personal statement that describes professional obligations and alternative sources of travel funds. Additional information and the application form, which must be submitted online, are available at the ASPB website.

The Women in Plant Biology Committee will review applications on the bases of quality of science and need, and the committee encourages applications from investigators at research- and teaching-intensive institutions, as well as from those working in government or industry labs.
