Description - Rice Interspecific Chromosomal Segment Substitution Line (CSSL) Populations

Back

Wild relatives represent a valuable source of under-utilized genetic variation that is available to plant breeders and represent an invaluable source of genetic diversity for traits of interest. A systematic approach was used to develop three libraries of inter-specific lines called Chromosome Segment Substitution Lines (CSSLs), targeting chromosomal introgressions from three different rice relatives.
